Implementation of Custom View Table Cell in UITableView
Often enough, during creation of an iPhone application, it is required to use the UITable object. This object provides rich design elements to customize cells in each row of a table… Examples of such user interfaces utilizing this object are iPhone applications like Facebook, LinkedIn, etc. In this article, we will learn how to create a custom UITableCell object in the Xcode Interface Builder and then use it within the table of an application.
Galaxy Pirate Adventure Programming Unleashed
Galaxy Pirate Adventure (GPA) for iOS platform is my rst 3D game development project. It is also regarded as one of the most graphically impressive space game on iOS platform. Before developing GPA, I know nothing about game programming, even though I have quite some programming experience. As a novice game developer, I am going to share with you some tips and tricks that I used in developing GPA.
Satellite EOS – Capabilities on Your iPhone
During the past decade satellite data have become more widely present on commercial applications, making a vast amount of users familiar with satellite activities and readings. Applications like Google Maps, weather forecasting and location-based services are incorporated on standard smart-phones. Applications like Google Maps, weather forecasting and locationbased services are incorporated on standard smartphones. But these are only some of the information which can be acquired: Earth Observation Systems (EOS) refers to the science of monitoring Earth phenomena and parameters. It is the main operation of most space missions, outputs a vast variety of imagery and it is now easily extendible to reach to your iPhone, allow it being a portable real-time Earth monitoring sensor.
NoSQL to NewSQL
NoSQL was the response to dramatic changes of requirements resulting from the Web 2.0 age. Nowadays the ‘old’ is responding to the challenge with promising new systems, off ering scalability and SQL without relaxing requirements about transactions and consistency. We look at both worlds from a developer’s and a query language perspective. The reference website http://nosql-database.org defi nes NoSQL as „Next Generation Databases mostly addressing some of the points: being non-relational, distributed, open-source and horizontally scalable. The original intention has been modern web-scale databases. The movement began early 2009 and is growing rapidly. Often more characteristics apply such as: schema-free, easy replication support, simple API, eventually consistent / BASE (not ACID), a huge amount of data, and more. So the misleading term “nosql” (the community now translates it mostly with “not only sql”) should be seen as an alias to something like the defi nition above”.
Inside Cassandra Design
Relational database management systems are the most commonly used system to store and use data, but for extremely large amounts of data, this kind of system doesn’t scale up properly. NoSQL solutions can off er a way to store and use extremely large amounts of data, but with less overhead, less work, better performance, and less downtime.
